My wife did something even dumber. She poured someold instant potato flakes down the kitchen sink drain.Youcan imagine what the end result was.

FYI eggshells are one of the things the disposal companies warn not to put in the disposal. Orange rinds are another.

Just like any other woman who doesn’t admit to making mistakes, but makes plenty of them.

Wow! Thanks Opal. I’m going to try this answer the next time I goof up something and need my hubby’s help to FIX it. At least he’ll laugh while working.

Whatever you do, never EVER admit to a woman that you are not busy. If she asks that question, it means she wants something. If you admit that you’re not doing anything important at this particular second, you’re doomed to solve whatever problem has come to her attention. And to continue solving problems until she stops thinking of them or you keel over from exhaustion, whichever happens first.

Eggshells go in the compost! Don’t you folks have community composting?

Why do people insist on putting everything down the sink or garbage disposal? The trash can is pretty handy and doesn’t get clogged. Nor does the trash can effect our water supply. Everything that goes down the sink drain goes to the treatment plant and made back into drinking water. Think about that the next time someone tells you to flush your medication down the toilet. My plumber told me that a lot of ladies in the neighborhood clog their sinks all the time because they pour grease down their drain. Does anyone have a brain anymore?

Like toilets, if it hasn’t been digested at least once, it shouldn’t be flushed!

If egg shells can clog a disposal, what can one handle?

The Pickles might be using a septic tank; we use a septic tank, and they told us not to put eggshells down the garbage disposal. We usually remember not to.
