Prickly City by Scott Stantis for March 19, 2014

No you can do math, it’s just fuzzy math. If Stantis would just get a clue and stop being a shill fro the Republican party maybe his strip would be funny again. Now it is just misinformation. Read the AHA then if you feel it’s unfair to provide affordable health care to millions of uninsured and underinsured people then sight the provision and stop throwing horse skat at the wall hoping something will stick..

@Stibko That’s all you people got. No Facts. Just name calling. The sad thing is some people are so dumb that that is enough.

    " and stop being a shill "

We’ll give you all the credit for ObamaCare. The public does. They’ll properly credit you in November.

@Stingo As I told you the voters are stupid. Yes even the Democrats. Even though they know the how corrupt the Republicans are they have a tendency to stay home during midterms so we deserve the government we get. As for myself I spent 22 years in the service so I have a lifetime pension, so I shouldn’t care, but somehow I do.

Thank you for your service, sir.

You shouldn’t call your fellow low-information voters stupid. No one who says MSNBC has “No opinion just facts”, should call anyone in the world stupid. You probably shouldn’t be let out in pubic unless you’re wheeled around like Hannibal Lecter.

How about “members of a decent society”? Or didn’t our American public education system teach that to a generation of selfish nihilists?

    “common sense” is an oxymoron

But then there are those who say the same about “Social Security”, “Obama care”, and even “Tea Party” (though rarely the same “those”).

Years from now Republicans will be DEFENDING the Affordable Care Act just like they now pretend they love Rooseveltcare (Social Security) and Johnsoncare (Medicare).

@Remnent Yeah. You are probably right. What the Republicans do is pass a law making it legal then they steal their butts off and take all the bribes they want. That is how a foreign national like Murdock was able to buy Fox News(?). The Republicans passed a law that for this one time enabled foreigners to purchase American networks. The law was worded in such a way that only Rupert Murdock could qualify. Then Their twisted (I can’t say crocked) buddies on the “Supreme Court” ruled that money was freedom of speech and that opened the way for Rich Republicans like the Kock Brothers to be able to buy the best Republican house and Senate members money can buy. You know it’s true and in the small wee hours of the morning you must know we are just eight Senators and A few thousand presidential votes away from having a dictatorship in this country. Republicans have (again with the blessing of the Less than Supreme Court) passed laws in states they control disenfrancing voters with laws so stringent that thousands of voters have lost that right.

We need to reform both corporate welfare and regular welfare. The only difference between the major parties is which end of the Bill of Rights they want to put in the shredder first.

If you think that young people don’t need health insurance sit in an emergency waiting room for a couple of hours. Yes, chronic care is less likely (perhaps), but insurance covers accidents that can put any person in the hospital. I bet that Stantis has health insurance and wouldn’t consider not having insurance for himself and his family.

Both sides in this fight are wrong we the voters pay as no matter how we vote the money trail will always lead right back to all of our politicians. We now have laws being passed by people who know nothing about the people they serve unless there is a photo op involved.

@Thriller87 In a way I suppose you are right. Thanks to the worst Supreme Court ever money rules the elections. I Suppose its what you do with the money. The Republicans are peddling as fast as they can to smooth the way for big corporations by trying to remove all safeguards that prevent them from using the corrupt actions that brought us the housing crisis the rape of the land like Duke Energy in North Carolina, The Keystone pipeline that has the potential to polite the Midwest Aquifer forever. Trying to provide lunches for less advantaged school children and well you get the point. Democrats are trying to undo these injustices, but if one doesn’t believe that then God help us.

I don’t think you can hear yourself. You barf out endless stream of names then when someone replies in kind you cry like you’re the victim.

But, then again, what is one to expect from someone who seriously tells people to watch MSNBC because it’s all fact, no opinion.

That’s the kind of thing a psychologist would underline and circle in red before committing you.

“To be clear what is ACA. Maybe I am wrong.”

Wow. This guys spills this much venom, tells everyone to read the law, says everyone is lying (except MSNBC, naturally) and doesn’t even know the acronym for ObamaCare?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is not your common low-information voter. This is a new kind of vitriolic, hateful kind of low-information voter.

echoraven Nobody I know thinks Obama is the new super Jesus. In fact I voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary and have a disdain for Ted Kennedy for leading the fight to defeat her. I still think she would be a better president than Obama It just goes to show, if you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.

You still don’t learn do you. Here the acronym is AHA (Affordable Healthcare Act.) If you want to call it the ACA (Affordable Care Act) be my guest.Just out of curiosity I went to Google and did a search for “AHA” and “ACA”. The first hits for AHA was: 1. American Heart Association,2. American Hospital Association,3. American Historical Association, 4. American Heart Association, and5. American Heart Associationfor ACA, the first 5 were:1. Healthcare.gov Affordable Care Act2. American Counseling Association3. Affordable Care Act4. American Collection Association, and5. American Camp Association Tally is 0 hits for AHA and 2 hits for ACA.And the winner is… Stingo Smith

I also did a search for Affordable Healthcare Act and got:1. HealthCare.gov (Affordable Health Care)2. Affordable Care Act3. Affordable Healthcare Act4. Affordable Care Act, and5. Affordable Care Act

Alex, I’ll take ACA for $500.
