Wrongly- and continually-imprisoned “residents” of Gitmo have friends and relatives, but they would never consider any terrorist activities in reprisal. Therefore, we should allow them to stay there until they die. No consequences, no problem. And the world is with us on this one; every country would do the same in our position.

Apropos of nothing, other that “pre-9/11”. I was cleaning the basement a few days ago and found a Bellingham (WA) Herald from 9/10/01…. Can’t get much closer to 9/11 than that. The news was mundane, nothing to write home about….
