One of the most obvious examples of federal government fraud and waste: Congress.

Hopefully the “paralyzing chill” of congress freezes the ineptitude of the POTUS and his mindless cronies.

Personally I don’t mind attacks on “left-wing idiots” and the like, or on “right-wing wackos” and such. Both groups surely exist and deserve to be criticized. But neither constitutes a large part of the population. Every group has its mindless fringe. Attacking a policy or practice is also reasonable if you think it a bad policy or practice. Attacking the Elephant or the Donkey, the Republican PARTY, or the Democratic PARTY is similar: the parties are corporations, having identities separate from those of any individual member, and no individual, perhaps, agrees with everything that either party does. I draw the line at those who attack “Republicans” or “Democrats” or “Liberals” or “Conservatives” as a whole, and without qualification. They do not attack an ideology, they attack millions of individual people, they attack half the population. In fact, perhaps a good way to identify a member of a mindless fringe is to see if they frequently or consistently attack ALL Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives, or Democrats. Lumping all the members of any of those vast and various groups together, and projecting onto them specific moral or intellectual qualities, is a form of bigotry we should all guard ourselves against. We all seem prone to it. I have fallen into that trap myself from time to time, and for that I am sorry. I ought to know better, knowing as I do so many wise, good, and honest people who fall into each of those four categories.
