    Dreaming you are on top of the food chain doesn’t make it so.

    If I were Calvin’s mother I’d make him clean up that mess.

    Last panel: Just so long as you restrict it to your inagination, no problem. Acting out, however,

    @leftwingpatriot

    …may lead to your finding yourself at the BOTTOM of the foodchain — sent to bed with no supper.

    Such a terrible, unexpected shock for Mom! That’s not nice, Calvin, you may not be astonished, when you are clobbered!

    It appears that Calvin took few lessons of pouncing from Hobbes.

    I’d really need to google this but isn’t the chronology wrong? I don’t think Allosaurs and Diplodocus co-existed. And an Allosaur woulnd’t attack something that huge; he’d go for easier prey. Come on, Calvin, do your research.

    Breaks are OK, Calvin. Scaring Mom half to death isn’t.

    Poor Mom she has her hands full. This is why Calvin does not have any siblings. But Calvin does make me laugh and he is a riot. Reading about him and having him for a child are 2 different things. Then again I was not any better as a child.

    My boys and I like the strips when Calvin’s imagination takes him into a creature or Spaceman Spiff

    Isn’t it against nature if a diplodocus gives an allosaurus a nasty spanking and sent to bed without dinner?

    What amazes me is I can only remember one strip where the little devil got his backside tanned – Mom got all dressed up to go out, and you know who nailed her with the hose (water balloon?) just as she was walking out the door. Nursing his burning twin cheeks, C’s response was that Mom was a grouch……

    Glad he wasn’t hurt…the Diplodicus was always a favorite o f mine…also the longest dinosaur. Both roamed N. America and could’a met late in the Jurassic/early in the Late Jurassic, say c.145 million years ago. That fragile carnivore better watch for the Diplodicus’ tail!
