Cute strip, 6/10 – For me, this is the first New Year without Dad… me and Mom just ate pizza and watched hockey… pretty much like always :p Seriously though, it’s more poignant for me ‘cause it’s time for the annual World Jr hockey tournament; a yearly ritual for me and Dad to do that one thing together (mostly complaining about the terrible European referees and dumb World hockey rules) ; only, this time I have no one to curse out the refs at, except the TV. :(
My husband, daughter and I watched tv. last nite. My SIL is a GM in a resturant and didn’t get home til 2’:30 AM! A 13 hour day. Good thing he had today off, so Husband and SIL watched (I swear) 12 hours of football! I wish you all peace and prosperity for the New Year!
Yesterday……..East Street is very near where I used to live. You must be near the Cider Bar, that only has a licence to sell cider and spirits. Great place..You forgot to switch your brain over to UK Highway Code, that’s why you were about to get run over.
My first thought was that Panto was some sort of mime show, in which case I would be heckling right along with Andy. Looked it up, though, and it seems to be some kind of Brit musical comedy theater. Still sounds like something Flo should have known better than to drag Andy to.The dwarfs probably thought they finally had a fight with someone their own size, and could lump him up pretty good. Wrong.
Good morning and a belated Feliz Año Nuevo to all you Cappers !I ( good rum runner that I am ) am not going to participate in the great rum debate. Suffice it to say that most rums are good, just some are better than others. I live where rum is plentiful and average prices range from $5.65 for 750ml. of a very good Ron Ecuador viejo to $39.00 for a Ron Barcardi. There are higher priced ones but sometimes it’s not how much you pay but the taste and maturation that counts.Whatever flavor you favor, a little, in moderation, goes a long way.¡Salud y pesetas!
Many, many years ago, when I was living in Ireland, I got thoroughly plastered on Navy rum and Coca Cola. Smart enough to leave my car in Dublin and take the double-decker home to Dun Laoghaire. Agile enough to leap off the back of the moving bus by my house and keep my footing. Walked proudly into my cottage and promptly tripped over my Borzoi, fell flat on my face and remained in said position until morning ( wife choosing sadistically to let sleeping dogs and drunks lay ).I vowed the next day never to drink rum and coke again. Over 45 years later, I still don’t drink Coca Cola!

I like the “Street”, but not a to die for favorite. That particular Polka was kind of a wiseguy tune. -Baldrick is great and adding the George character made it even better ! Tim and Hugh did some good stuff there. I like Rowan and like more when other characters get limelight too. -You said you didn’t weigh much, so, a stick figure rendering should do it ? Running fast for a jump in the canal !-Finished cleaning the sailor. Now just have to get some shots. Sunny but cold outside. -Happy New years to you, family and even the “chicken”. -A ‘Waylon’ Wednesday ba’catcha.________________________________________________If you fall in the canal… Will you be able to swim? Just thought I’d ask.
I can’t swim and it doesn’t bother me at all. I can’t whistle either and that doesn’t bother me. It used to but not now-Yes, George is a brilliant character. In the first Blackadder Goes Forth episode, his first line was “Tally ho, pip pip and Bernard’s your uncle” to which Blackadder replied “In English we say Good Morning" Classic!-Hope you are well and enjoying Day 2 of the New Year.
“Bobbies”?.I don’t think anyone says that anymore. Bonnet and hood are both headgear. You’d be surprised just how many police DO carry guns..Pantomime is just a fairystory acted out on stage. One male role is played by a woman and there is always a dame, played by a man. Having worked backstage on a few, I can safely say that I would never pay to see one.
I haven’t lived in Newton Abbot since 2007, just an ordinary terraced house on a hill, five or less minutes walk from the town centre. I now live in Plymouth (again).

And I’ll bet Andy whet his whistle before he worked over the performance.

Out of the 7 dwarfs, I think Andy would be either “Sleepy” or “Dopey”

Andy fought the Seven Dwarfs for singing, “Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, It’s off to WORK we go!”That’s a four letter word for Andy.
