Teach everyone to fish, and soon there won’t be anything left for anyone else to catch.

Both of you sure know how to kill an ancient proverb.

I’m pretty sure the fisherman’s union will have something to say about all these scabs.

Enough! You’re not learning anything, only butchering the proverb!

Go fishing with your son….and you build a relationship for a life time.See the pictures not just read the words.Don’t worry TSOJ Japanese commercial fishing can’t catch all the fish. They have to get fuel sometime and clean the boat.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.Teach a man to fish, and he’ll argue about which bait to use.

And in my 1st experience: the wife guts, cleans, cooks, sets the table, and washes up while the man falls asleep on the couch afterwards from fishing. That’s why I found me a new man who taught me to fish as well as gut, clean, cook, ENJOY DINNER, and helps me wash up afterwards.

All the more charming for it’s truth.A truth hard learned.

Throw away the sandwich your wife just made, and forget about the rest of your life! All fine other than that.

Fine old proverb and a true one, but Gavin I have yet to see a woman who smiles when she has been brought some fish to clean…

That phrase NE’ER gets old.

Or as Terry Pratchett said, “Build a man a fire and he’ll be warm all day. Set a man on fire and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.”

More boys need this type of experience.

Bring the fish home so your wife/mother can clean and cook them tho!

That’s the problem with short-sighted long-line and net trawlers. They vacuum up al marine life, keep the “valuable” product and throw away the dead “trash” fish that other species rely on. I fear it’s not long before the oceans are rendered sterile.

Teach a man to fish and you can sell to him beer and bait for the rest of his life.
