Well… it could also be read that her own intentions are being spelled out, a little more… though she didn’t necessarily say that….. but the fact that she wanted more than the windows steamed seems to indicate perhaps that she would …or may …though for now, she hasn’t…– I personally am a believer in waiting until marriage…I didn’t wait, but if I could do it over, I would have chosen to do so….only because of the values I have now come to personally hold dear…. I know of examples of those who did wait for marriage, and that not everybody is doing it, but it seems that it’s portrayed as an option, less and less, these days… – And I know that there’s others (including what I’ve seen on some other comics’ forums or other threads and some other GoComics comics’ threads) who would also say that, but I guess I’d be in the minority here…. not necessarily in the minority of those who would feel that way, but of those who may post that they feel that way, here….

Hey, Greg tagged the wooden barrier.^And he’d get away with it… the process would be…..“drawn” out… and the judge would have a “ink” ling that it wouldn’t be cool to “pencil” him in for a few dates in the “pen”…

Luanns hormones are raging and she is mad that her and quill never get any time alone without something or someone interrupting at the last second (a typical hollywood interruption.) But gregg also knows this comic is something kids read, so he has to keep the dialog and innuendo pg or pg-13 at the most.

Based on Lu’s comment, she really wanted to get steamy!

If the windows got steamy obviously the implication is that they had some hot kissing at least.

I doubt that anything else more serious happened, but clearly on Luann’s part she really wishes more had, or could. She has a serious boyfriend now.

If Luann or Quill had seriously wanted to “go all the way” the could and would have left the party earlier and gotten it on sooner. Their frustration may be real, but their sex talk is more flirting than an indication of their real intentions.

I could be wrong, but I think that kids these days don’t go on dates like this.They mostly go on group dates (keep your head out of the gutter folks). It is my understanding that in the States ( I am Canadian), most cities have curfews for teenagers.

Luann says the windows are lucky that they got steamed up, implying that she did not. Apparently Quill didn’t do much for her, or she really needs more than the casual snog.

I am just thankful there are other adults who get involved weith a comic strip….my local paper just replaced Luann with another strip…I am now replacing them with another paper.

Whew! Am I glad Quill did the right thing and “called it” before it got too “steamy.” One… he’s looking out for Luann and their future together, and two… he’s looking out for himself (staying “legal,” but also knowing that his future with Luann is better assured if they do things right at present… at least, from a “parental permission” perspective). :-) Sometimes, in the heat of passion, I think Lu doesn’t see that “big picture” there. Think “long term” Lu… long term.

I want Lu to be happy and exercise her “passions.” But there’s a time and place for all of that. Once she’s legal and out of the house, well… as they say… you don’t just get knowledge in college. :-)))

Lu and Quill’s chastity remains intact for now…until the next Evans teaser.

It doesn’t take much to steam up the windows. Just some heavy breathing would do it, but Luann is very forward in what she wants. I would guess it went a bit past first base.

So many memories to look back on before my happy 30 yr marriage. I believe it was about 25 or so, with no regrets.

As far as “legal” goes, it would NOT be illegal even though Quill is 18 and Luann is 17. In California, they can be within 3 years age difference.

So, Luann needs to fix her lipstick? I guess that means that there was at least some heavy kissing to steam up the windows of her little car (which, BTW, looks like an early Yaris). But there was probably not much, if anything, more. So, Luann has something to remember but nothing to regret….

Luann should have jumped his bones, being late is easily explained.

Isn’t Quill supposed to be working on a “holiday play” still (It’s New Year’s Day in the strip)? Have we ever seen any indication that he has done any of that? I too think Luann’s protestations that Quill was neglecting her at all were way exaggerated.

Yours was a very moving post about waiting for that very special forever person…it Is well worth the wait… ;)

I don’t call it a ‘wimping out’. I would call it that they are being responsible and being grown up enough to not lose themselves to their hormones.Quill is being to a point a gentleman in the fact he is able to control himself. And to keep Luann’s honour intact.

I think you’ve had plenty of time, Luann. Be thankful you didn’t have more. :)
