I love my country, but fear my government. That’s a bumper sticker displayed on the living room wall because I gave up driving for cycling over 20 years ago. I have 2 young boys and I fear their world will be much worse than mine. All I can do is make sure they’re smart enough to adapt.

The Nazis also relied on census data in the occupied countries that includes religion. Still, you can’t really compare index cards with the ease of digital searching.

The one who makes the Hitler reference first always loses the argument. Sorry that’s the rule.

Exactly so. The Nazis were efficient, but they would have been much more so with access to NSA-like technology. Inefficiency is good when it comes to government power.

And right here is a prime example of the intellectual achievement of home schooling. Harley, Harly you need to read a little history book once in a while.

Comparing Obama to Hitler, disgusting. You are skilled enough to make your point without comparing him to one of the greatest mass murders ever. Shame.

Try breaking the pills in half, Ted. Or maybe you should take two.

“Well it is not like he could support veterans day …”. I am a veteran and I don’t support Veteran’s Day. It was originally Armistice Day, a day to celebrate peace, to celebrate the end of WW1. Ironically, that war was known as the ‘War To End All Wars’. Now, it’s an excuse to celebrate war and some more useless lip service to America’s veterans.

“Jews finally got over being systematically rounded up and murdered? You are a fountainhead of knowledge.” You are a little weak on critical thinking. It’s obvious from the remainder of Night-Gaunt49’s post that he or she did not mean what you imply the meaning was. Judging from how the Israelis treat the Palestinians, the Jews have gotten over it now.

I am a Vietnam Era veteran, old enough to remember the Israelis’ attack on the Liberty. Do you see anything in my post that implies I’m in favor of Palestinians committing terrorist acts? The scales are a little unbalanced, rather like a gnat attacking an elephant. The gnat can bite, the elephant can crush.

“Only if you interpret the mantra of “Never Again” as “getting over it”.” So, the Israelis mean never again to them, but by them is okay.

Nonsense. Who is going to attack Israel with the US behind them? The Palestinians have laid (not layed) down their arms for several cease fires which were violated by the Israelis.

“Baloney. They’re attacked on a regular basis. If anything they show restraint.” Once again, you display your lack of critical thinking. I replied to your post stating that Israel would be in existential danger if they didn’t have one of the world’s most powerful militaries by using the word attack, and you reply by stating that Israel is attacked on a regular basis. Like I posted earlier, that is like a gnat attacking an elephant. If you call what Israel does to the Gaza Strip restraint you are blinded by ideology. They both suck, but the Israeli’s actions are way out of proportion.

@Harleyquinn“Well it is not like he could support veterans day or anything… just saying..”.Ted’s job is a political cartoonist. As a veteran myself, there were plenty of tributes everywhere. Personally I don’t think Ted’s art style would work on a Veteran’s day tribute, but it works wonderfully for scathing commentary and unlike alot of political cartoonist (on both sides of the isle) just illustrate “talking points” Ted puts thought into his so even if you disagree with a particular cartoon, they give you pause and make you think (hopefully).
