I was pretty impressed that Rafael Cruz and Sarah Palin were above using WWII Vets as political pawns.-I am really curious as to what those two think happens when the government is shut down. I do know that they both think it’s a good thing.-Harder to understand whether Fox “news” viewers think it’s good or bad.
First of all, they got in after a day of confusion at the start, without anyone having to insult law officers for the law they had to enforce, despite the law being brought into play by the GOP shutdown and not the President, despite the fact that three-quarters of the screwballs supporting this idiotic political theater don’t realize that it is the (GOP dominated House) that spends money and not the president, despite the fact that Obama is the lowest-spending president since Eisenhower..Othern’ that, you got it all right, Dana.
There was no justification to close down the normally unguarded memorials – it costs more to shut them down than to keep them open – other than to tick people off.
And veterans are the last people you want to tick off.
Let me understand this. The likes of Sen. Ted Cruz & Speaker of the House John Boehner shutdown the Govt. & yet Pres. Obama gets the blame ? He warned of these closures & people are surprised when given no other choice ? Congress needs to Reopen the Govt. & lift the debt ceiling so people can get back to work & closures are ended.
the ww2 memorial was built with private funds and maintained with private funds on fed property // bho tried to shut down mount vernon which is owned and maintained by a not for profit org// bho to vets "get lost "/// bho to illegals " come on in and do not forget to trash the mall"
Watching Sarah Plain and Small talk about using the veterans as pawns reminded me of her standing in front of the farmer shoving his turkeys into a “shredder” during her campaign. She was shoving the vets in, and not even blinking.

“H.R. 368. That’s all you need to know about who’s got responsibility for this mess.”here’s the video
http://www.upworthy.com/congress-did-something-so-spectacularly-creepy-that-its-too-unbelievable-to-make-up?c=ufb1this should be front page news, but since ALL the press leans far right, you’ll never see it unless you watch cspan.
how long are right wingers going to ignore reality and harp on this WWII vets dreck? It’s a shame to see the once moderate Summers has been polarized into another conservative shill. I find it ironic that they use WWII vets as poster boys for the fight to destroy entitlements and health care when it was WWII vets that drove the country’s burgeoning middle class when the government gave them educational and housing assistance upon their return home. Uh oh. Time to turn off reality again.

Thw Memorial is an open air area…It’s stupid to try to close it w/ barricades. .What a slap in the faces of those of the “greatest generation!”
