and of course since I’m 95 it has been 30 years since I needed or was eligible for the coverage. Now if we could just keep the Koch Brothers’ trained chimps from cutting what coverage I have …

You know, it would seem that with the $600 plus MILLION already spent by Uncle, the web site would be accessible……

It doesn’t actually start, until JANUARY!! There Is time to work out the bugs in the computer program before it kicks in.

Ask Bill Gates how smoothly each “improvement” in “Windows” went!

Speaking of “systems”, I’ve been trying for over a year and a half to get Florida Medicaid to fix my mom’s paperwork. Used to be able to talk to folks and get things done, not since the current Governor made that impossible. Even our lawyers and the rest home she lives in can’t reach anyone in the system, or get any answers!! Web, snail mail, phone, no answers!

TROUT. That’s not entirely accurate. In fact, it’s not accurate at all.

“if you don’t have health coverage through your employer or a public plan like Medicare or Medicaid, you will need to purchase coverage by January 1, 2014 or pay a penalty.”

So to be more accurate, you should have posted “they have 76 days to work out the bugs in the computer program, and whether they’re successful or not, you have 76 days to sign up or face a fine. Then there’s the fact that they need millions upon millions upon millions of enrollees to meet their goals of making this anywhere near feasible, and so far they have approx. 50,000. Good luck.

EDIT: To be fair, there are other reputable website that give different dates you must sign up by before incurring a “fine”

“…if you blow off Obamacare and don’t get insured by April next year…”
    <a href=“http://www.brookings.edu/research/opinions/2013/09/30-ten-questions-about-obamacare-aca-patel-sanghavi>brookings.edu

”You can sign up for health coverage on an exchange anytime between now and March 1, 2014. Your coverage would begin Jan. 1, 2014, at the earliest. If you do not enroll in that window, you will not be able to get health coverage through the insurance exchange marketplace until the next annual enrollment period unless there are extenuating circumstances. “

”http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/DC-Decoder/2013/1001/Obamacare-101-What-to-know-if-you-opt-out-of-buying-health-insurance">Christian Science Monitor, but I’ve heard March 1st from other sources

“Open enrollment for the program ends March 31, 2014.”

    CBS News

    And finally:

“The enrollment periods are October 1, 2013, through March 15, 2014.

I actually think CBS was right, it’s March 31st. That’s a heck of a rollout you guys got going there.
