WOW! I am overwhelmed! The invite (by Stel) is fabulous, as are all the cakes – especially those by JPSteve and the homemade one by Susan and all the lovely food by Bev. Especially the black caviar and the wonderful chandelier (just what I want in my master bathroom) and the mirror My carved wood upstairs is all gilded tho (even one big heavy screen in the bedroom).

all the cards and greetings are lovely – X_Tech’s very sparkly, Linguist’s very alliterate, but the best of all are the man (naturally) and the dancing umbrella cockatoo (and the video even shows that all that joy is related to the warm air of a blower- just like my Cuddles). I could do without the facial hair and possible man-scaping, but he looks very fit (and my cooking would keep him a little bit zaftig around the belly).

I certainly appreciate even just hearing from the rest of you (the thoughts afterall, are what count – from Dogsniff, Lefty2, dje928, Happy, IckyMudd and MunkyBlues.

I may have to pass a link to this to some of my kids (both my youngest son and my son-in-law would take time to see them all (as would the wife of my oldest boy); they are the family I most often chat with.

I just had to mention, my youngest grandson is named Beau – and somewhere I have a photo of him in a fedora like that. But a quick search only found this one that I really like, so I stuck it in my Flickr

Thanks, Red! @Bev, I forgot to say, Cuddles and I would love the coleslaw in those cucumber cutouts. I was just saying over at YouTube (to another birdlady) that TGIF would serve her own little plate of it (she only ate a scoop) as would some of the pubs where she ate with me. I tried to keep it neat. Some friends had their wedding party at the George and Dragon and she had a scoop of vanilla ice cream there (much to the delight of all the kids and a few grown folks).

I just had a Skype call from my daughter and SIL (she was paying far less attention to the conversation than he -as usual) She was doing something else on her laptop while we talked on his.

Happy belated day Dazz.Did not get the notice till today.In the immortal words of R. Crumb.KEEP ON TRUCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love parties! I love jello shots! I love petit-fours! I love M-C anything! I love how everybody comes together and makes the birthday girl/guy feel special! Happy Birthday to Dazz, the poster girl for our age!

Sorry I didn’t get here sooner but it’s bee a very busy day. I’m just stopping by on my lunch break. I will try to make it back tonight for a bit.

Stopped in here for a Tiki drink- Just finished with my weights (my max pair are 15#each) for bench rows – and my bench press are only 2 sets of 25 with my 12#pair. I’m not trying to be “muscular”, just to remain strong and agile. I added the pairs of 4 & 8# strap-on ankle weights because I work my legs as well.

Thanks also to Veteran, 2Old, GROG and pcolli. I’m having a lovely birthday with the doors and windows wide open for a pleasant breeze. I used to put together a really neat Pousse cafe because I knew the relative weights of all the different liquors (and there’s always a layer of grenadine and one of brandy) I still have some really nice glasses that allow a lot of layers. This one looks a little improbable, but I can be very creative.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAZZ! I hope you like this, it was the best I could find. I think it’s pretty and thought maybe you would too.

x-Tech can you fix it for me please? I can’t find my directions for down-sizing an image, and my “bb brain” can’t remember. :-D

Thanks, Dry! I try to avoid really hot peppers, but I use plenty of cayenne, ginger and turmeric (I keep a mix of those on the stove).

@Bev, the pink head and lack of a pronounced cere indicate a lovebird (not paraqueet) and ALL birds bite sometimes. Even my sweet Cuddles would become very aggressive if she thought I was denying her a toy or food that she wanted. She liked to pick up a knife or screwdriver on the kitchen counter and run around keeping anyone from the edges (amazing what she could lift in that beak).

Goodnight all – and thanks for all the greetings and stuff. I hope my kids stopped by to see too. Mike is such a bird lover, I think he will.
