There were far far worse operating systems than Vista. At least it worked, despite what Apples marketing campaign said.

MS ME was way worse. Dos 4 was not pretty either. In both cases your best upgrade was to go to the earlier version.

Ah, the blue screen of death. Haven’t seen that in years, the strip is pretty dated.

I didn’t think MS could come out with anything worse than ME. Then they released Vista. I was sure they couldn’t make a worse OS. Then they released Win 8.

My favorite error message has always been “Keyboard not found. Press any key to continue.”

My favorite thing about the BSD was that MS took years to acknowledge that it even existed! The rest of us knew……

I have Win 7 and I can attest that the BSOD is still kicking (and there ain’t no “Press any key to continue” either)! In my job, I worked on PCs with the whole range of MS OSs. I had very few problems with ME. I saw more problems with 98. And one classic thing I remember was regarding NT. It wasn’t NT’s fault though. Someone bought a USB device that stated on the box that it worked under Windows NT. I didn’t believe it, but I tried to get it working anyway. I was right, it didn’t.

I thought Jason used an iFruit. He should have the “Kernel Panic” gray screen of death.

MS operating systems are sort of like Star Trek movies (the old series) – every other one is a Dud.

95 – flop, 98 – OK, ME a disaster, XP best OS yet, Vista so-so, Win 7 – will take the title from XP, It’s what Vista was supposed to be, 8 – great for playing games on a tablet, not for serious desktop users (Oh wait, Microsoft has decreed that desktops are obsolete),

Computer problems? Maybe it’s the keyboard.
