Big question — if printed periodicals finally disappear, what will replace them in doctors’ waiting rooms?

When I have an appointment, I always bring…A BOOK! You know, with pages and covers…and a bookmark.

Perhaps if you did read a magazine or a book once in a while, you would know the difference between “there” and “they’re”.

My doctor’s office still has magazines and other actual reading matter laid out, but also has a TV in one corner.

“Odd that the doctors offices I’ve been in always have a fair collection of recently dated magazines.”-I think it was a Herman cartoon, but the patient explained to the nurse he had read up on his symptoms and diagnosed his disease in the magazines the doctor kept in the waiting room and no longer needed to see the doctor.-We can sometimes do that online nowadays.(on the other hand, if we misdiagnose, it is harder to sue ourselves)

The local blood lab has just installed WiFi in their waiting room for their patients’ convenience. (I’m on blood thinners, so I’m a frequent flier there.)
