    Hi Shika!

It’s 3am here…. I’m still up but I really really need to be in bed.

That’s why we seldom see each other here…. I stay up late (and get up very late) in a later time zone.

Luckily Andy was up late enough to drop me off at the Tiki…. and x_Tech and I had a beer at an hour most bars would be closing….

but Ballard County allows drinking at all hours, because virtual alcohol is safer.

(Doesn’t hurt, either, that the sheriff owns a bar…..)

You’ve got enough of my yak noodle soup left for an all night special….

Not sure whether the Monkey has a gig tomorrow night but he said he’d start some more ribs in the afternoon…..

If he doesn’t have time (or forgets…) just let me know…. I can set up the smoker. They can do Yak ‘n’ Daks out on the patio…then inside during my shift.

    G’night, all….

Morning Ballardeers. Sorry I’m a little late. I got so rapt up in reading the Ballard Bugle I didn’t realize the time. Besides, all of a sudden GoComics throws a site repair sign at me and I can’t access the strips. It keeps telling me to go play games. Anyone else have this problem ? I’m on now through a back door but don’t know what will happen when I leave B.S.At any rate, I will be off doing bits and pieces of business, including a surprise inspection of my galleon, The Irish Rover, but will be at the Tiki this evening. Have a great day, all !

@Ling, the only problem I have with this site (and some others like YouTube) is that when I let them just rest in an open tab, IE eventually has a problem and closes them. I check in (like now) before breakfast and leave it open while doing other things.

At first sight, I thought they were both after a persistent mosquito (I could get that violent with one that keeps at me) but I think a broom is too slow.

My floppy bunny (as a child) may have looked almost as sad as that last one, but he was the Prince in my play (a fat stuffed panda was the King) and I eventually had 2 dolls which had started as the same model, but I spoiled the older one by trying “makeup” using nail polish (which semi melted the material of the face) so she looked like Mama Elsa (Miami Housewives). The newer doll was the Princess, and they had very elaborate gowns made from scraps of my mother’s party dresses.

Marcia is wearing her best pink apron, because some of the “girls” were coming to tea, and that was the third time she’d caught Arthur getting into her petit fours, so I really can’t blame her.

@beviekAbsolutely. Sounds like the perfect Saturday libation. Thanks !I had this happen around 10 am ( CDT ) and forgot that if you hit the refresh button, usually , everything will come back, Thanks to Citizen GROG who reminded me, I was able to get everything ( with one exception ) back to normal. The additional comments on AC still won’t come up for me. This is where it all started this morning. Weird that the gremlinos were only on AC and B.S. … just sayin’….Anyway I am overdue for that Long Island and if *Gaijinrabbit locates the Pepsi Flavored Cheetos in Japan, I can arrange the … er… shipping…. at no cost to you , of course.

@Stel, Just a quick question – Is there a really good DB that I don’t know about within this strip, or have you created one for your own use over the years?

The way that you find so many relevant archives is great, in any case.

I think Pepsi was chosen because Cheetos and Pepsi are both owned by Pepsico. I’ll drink Pepsi and I’ll eat Cheetos, but I won’t eat a Pepsi flavored Cheeto any more than I’d drink Coke.

I stopped drinking Coke years ago when they came out with that New Coke thing. As a result, I found out that Pepsi tasted way better than both versions.

I don’t put cheese, sour cream or Fritos in my chili. But I do slow cook my chili with onions, green peppers and celery already included, toward the end of the cooking process. In my chili, onions are mandatory – not an option. It has enough flavor without those additions.

GROG, Reese’s are the best. I like Cheetos, but not Pepsi. If I ever have a Cola, it is Coke, about once a year or so.

I should elaborate and say that my chili has enough flavor without sour cream and Fritos and cheese. I’m not a big cheese fan, which is why no pizza parlor is going to make it on my top ten list of restaurants.

Funny, I miss cheese even more than meat. I’ll have to be very careful to restrict myself to modest amounts when I finish the vegetarian diet next February (natch, my doctor thinks I’ll stay on it for life, but he also believes that meat eaters don’t FEEL well. He says he can’t understand how someone with my bloodwork has always felt fine (no complaints other than the HBP). I have always been (somewhat) moderate in (most) things, so . . .

But I’m already planning my return to normal eating. He’s gone on Vaca this week so next Mon I get to analyze all my readings. Up late so Fenton, please pour me a virtual Presidente with Kahlua and I’ll head upstairs for a cool bath.’Nite, all!

Yes, Fenton, sweetie, I know you are…. that’s why you get the big bucks.Ok, right, the little bucks…. but some big bones, right?

That reminds me…. there should be a big pile of yak bones in the fridge for you tonight…. just take as many as you like…. raw ones are in a giant plastic bag, cooked ones in foil.Leave a few for BatPug and Lt. Canine, if you don’t mind….They’re on duty all weekend.

With the Monkey away with his band, they have to watch Arthur and Marcia’s house…. discreetly.

If it turns out to be NOT a game they’re playing, BCPD wants to make sure it doesn’t get out of hand.

I think I’ll have a nightcap. I drove 37mi RT to “fighter practice” that is “every Sunday” (unless a Kingdom event is same day). I wanted to deliver a painted sheet that I just did (to hang as walls for the Baronial tents), and see if there are more left to do. No one there (most live nearby).

With the aggravation of putting clothes on and driving all that way for nada, I’ll have a drink. I might even have one of those petit fours too (even though most are WAY too sugary for my taste).
