It has just occurred to me that the infant prince may well be king in 2076, which will mean that we may well have a King George ready for the Tricentennial.
Interestingly, Charles has made rumblings that if he ascends to the throne, he may take the regnal name “George VII” instead of “Charles III.” That means that the newborn might be George VII or George VIII. They might have named the boy after his grandfather’s presumptive name.
