    Hrothgar!? Wasn’t he a king in Beowulf? I much prefer Æthelred (athough that name does carry some baggage).

    It has just occurred to me that the infant prince may well be king in 2076, which will mean that we may well have a King George ready for the Tricentennial.

    Certainly, if he opts to keep that name. Monarchs have that option: check out Edward VIII & George VI’s birth names. And Victoria herself was Alexandrina Victoria! Dropped the first name after she became Queen.
