The vacuum cleaner motor died and I opened it to look. The case was a box with several standard mounts for different motors, and it had the cheapest motor in it. I bought the biggest, most powerful, one that fit from an industrial supply catalog and replaced it. It would suck loose hair off the cat across the room.

Finally cleaned the cat fur from the computer fan. It doesn’t kick in high anymore. I will probably wait until it does it again.
