MARK TRAIL: I guess Mark has never watched the “Undercover Boss” TV show (you know, the part where you change your name and don a disguise when you go undercover). PHANTOM: I am remembering back to the Lucha Libre story and how much we enjoyed that…while there was suspense and some mystery, that story made more sense as it went along. With the current strip, we have a reluctant 707 drug pilot (Ted West), a kid from WWI showing up in the present day, and a flashback to the present Walker’s grandfather in WWI…and these disjointed stories have been prolonged while we await some sort of connection. I hope something happens soon to have this all make sense.
Nothing has moved along sufficiently in Rex Moran, Judge Parker & Mary Worth strips to inspire a comment. As SWEETBILL or Arye would say….zzzzzzzz. I’m not sure about Apt. 3-G: Is the friendship with Cole going to be a story arc? (With 3-G, it’s hard to tell as sometimes it teases us and then doesn’t go anywhere.) And while I am in the grumpy mood, I will also say that I think the Judge Parker strip has left the Thalia/Ross story for much too long (I don’t mind 2 simultaneous story arcs, as long as we go back and forth…but there hasn’t been “back to Neddy/Thalia” for toooo long). That said, I will keep reading and commenting as I enjoy the artwork and I enjoy looking in on the characters…and something will no doubt happen eventually to surprise and delight us. :-)

Judge Parker – So Randy has noticed this guy, too. Mary Worth – This sounds more real than her usual platitudes.Rex Morgan – Rex says that sounds like the old Milton. That’s his personality. He thinks he’s so important, everyone else should do his bidding.
Rex Morgan: It’s time for Rex to tell Milton to grow up and stop talking to them like that, that these people are not his employees and to show them some respect. God know their jobs are bad enough without having to put up with someone spoiled like him.Phantom: Are they going to court marshal P. for disobeying the Major’s order? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZMark Trail: His “cover” has been blown. Did he think it was smart to use his real name? Despite the excellent art work, the plot, the people in it and the dialog is so unreal. What is Big Mike going to do, offer to refund his money and apologize for not being able to get him a prize trophy? No, that would be too easy.Mary Worth: What a bunch of bull. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
JP: I don’t know where they are going with this story, but the slot machine win was fun. Living here in Las Vegas, we do gamble a bit, but we are on a strict budget with it. When we win, the money goes back into the gambling pot for next time. When we lose, the pot gets smaller. We do not add household money to this pot until it gets to zero, and then not very much. This hasn’t happened since last summer. If I ever won a very large jackpot, I don’t know what I would do, but for now the little winnings make it possible to enjoy the game again next time.Phantom: I agree with everyone else. This story doesn’t make sense yet, and Kit’s grandfather’s behavior is so out of character for a hero that it is not believable. (No lectures on comics vs. reality, please.)Mary: The temperatures in Arizona right now would make the walk that Mary and her new friend are taking almost impossible without sunscreen, hats and bottled water. And an umbrella – Monsoon season is upon us. If the author was going to have them go to a desert resort, at least do it in the winter.
