Sorry, it was the company that controlled it. No one stands against the might of the Dr. Pepper Pepsi coalition. I just plain did not care. I cant win so why should I let someone else win a million dollars. Not mean just practical.Most all contests like that are rigged. That why I never join in contests like that. McDonalds with their Monopoly game. Ever hear any one getting that one piece they need? Like attend this seminar and you will be given a new car. Yeah if you sign up for everything they chunk at you.
@ Veteran: Yeah, I remember that one. I also remember that the Attorney General of the State of Tennesee was considering investigating PepsiCo because too few people were winning. (Unfortunately, we moved away before I found out if the investigation actually went forward.) But I do know that one guy sued them to get the Harrier fighter that was promised in this infamous ad. Yeah, PepsiCo are a bunch of jerks.
I also remember a contest where the winning/non-winning status was printed on the inside of Hershey’s products bags. The candy in the bags was so loose that you could hold the interior panel to the light and read (on every bag I tried) “Sorry, you are not a winner.” “Sorry, you are not a winner.” Oops!
Now you have to register on the Internet for almost all the contests out there, and can’t tell if you are an instant winner.
