Except those they elect and they’re really an elephant in the works. But overall, the cartoon is right on. Lord Acton, remember?

Have you noticed the profound corruption of the GOP for, oh, the past thirty years? Did you notice when a sitting Vice President gave a no-bid contract TO HIS OWN COMPANY? Or when they hid the discussion around “energy policy” which was entirely with (and for the benefit of) oil companies?Or the fact that the biggest “Tea Party” organization is fully funded by the Koch brothers? Or that the votes against labor were funded by the Koch brothers?Have you even noticed the corruption?

The lack of an uprising after the Supreme Court decision that made Bush president proved that the American public has lost its revolutionary fervor.

Good Answer! The Koch bros. started the t-party, the heritage foundation, People for prosperity (but only for the already preposterous, prosperous), the Cato institute, and more. It is NOT a grass roots thing at all, even though they would like people to believe it is.And they do have lots of power. They are guiding the whole GOP as far right as they can.

Very knowedgable. Republican voter depicted in last frame. Pictured “watching” one of Boehner’s rhetorical speeches, lauded as one of the best by Fox News.
