    I would prefer the military dictator, any dictator with a religion that is fanatical and followed by the “blessing” of "system of belief that whatever his god is called is on “their side” can be anyone’s worst nightmare!

    Egyptians believed that all the deeds a person did in their life were contained in their heart, and that every bad deed made the heart heavier, so when the person died and their soul went to Osiris, Anubis weighed the heart against the feather of Maat, the goddess of truth and justice. If your heart was heavier than the feather of truth and justice, the heart was destroyed. If your heart was lighter than the feather, your soul got to spend eternity in paradise with Osiris.

    @Radish

    “Egyptians believed that all the deeds …”

    That was interesting, Radish. Thank you.

    “Morsi was a terrible president, their economy is in terrible shape thanks to their policies but the fact is the United States should not be supporting this coup. And it’s a tough call," McCain added.

    McCain whined told Muslim-owned Al Jazeera (of course, who else?) on Friday that he was not a happy camper over the military’s removal of Morsi:

    “We have to suspend aid to the Egyptian military because the military has overturned the vote of the people. We cannot repeat the same mistakes that we made in other times of our history by supporting removal of freely elected governments.”

    For now, the administration is calling on the military to “quickly and responsibly” return to a democratically elected civilian government while avoiding “arbitrary arrests” of Morsi and his supporters. Perhaps as leverage for those conditions, Obama directed his agencies to “review the implications under U.S. law for our assistance to the government of Egypt.”

    The same military who killed innocent revolutionaries in Jan 2011 and allowed complete break down of any civil liberties is now in charge, again. What could go wrong?

    We need to quit thinking we can solve the world’s problems and understand that things are significantly more complex than will fit in a 15 second sound bite. All you Armchair Pundits, give it a rest.

    So, Republicans/Fox “news” viewers, what exactly SHOULD we be doing in Egypt?
