Yikes … I get tired of hearing Toles whine about the DC Metro. It worked awesome for us while we vacationed there earlier this Spring (during the Boston Marathon bombings week no less). Was it perfect … no. Was it better than the transit that Toles left behind when he moved away from Buffalo … yes. The DC Metro can take you just about anymore you want to go in the DC area. Lines and waits were short. We had to walk up one escalator … big whoop. Most people need a little exercise anyways. Give it a rest Tom. If you don’t like the Metro ride a bike, drive a car (that will make you appreciate the Metro more when you have to deal with construction delays and finding parking, idiot drivers …)

Do Washington D.C. or Federal officials ride the Metro?

He’s referring to a recent incident where riders tried to alert the conductor that there was a fight on the platform and the intercom didn’t work.
