That is a real problem for him. The only countries where he has a little bit of security are the “Evil States”.
Not the best for his reputation – but still better than to come back.

What’s strange is that the nations that use mostly Humint, and thereby show themselves to be rank, incompetent amateurs at Big Brother surveillance, are welcoming the person who showed the entire world just how utterly tenthtwentieth-rate they are at it.

No, they laugh at us for putting up with (we didn’t elect him, remember?) the joke that was G. W. Bush.

"need to forget the Bush years….

US taxpayers are still paying for the Bush years. And will continue to do so for decades.

Who’s lamenting the past? I am lamenting the future of paying off the trillions the Bush needlessly added to our national debt with his immoral wars.

“What is sad is how little respect our country gets from other countries”

Republicans love to tell themselves this. Actually it’s only the Republican party that get “little respect” from other countries. And not much here either.

Actual polling indicates that the thing foreign countries dislike most about the US is the unilateral targeted-drone program.

Does everyone else love how these discussions almost always devolve into something completely unrelated to the editorial cartoon. #sarcasm

    Hey fairtoeveryone,
Thanks for helping Bush set up the security state that we are now enjoying under Obama. Nice work!

He wasn’t fleeing to them he was using them to get to a safe haven. So of course he wouldn’t go to allies who would turn him right over to the waiting claws of our National Security State now would he? He isn’t stupid.

We suspected but Snowden gave us proof of it.

Genome Project: We obviously have. That is why we are reliving it. It is just like the Old Testament histories. They defeat the Canaanites. “Elohim is greater than Ba’al” and two verses later, they are worshipping Ba’al.

Snowden has admitted he only wormed his way into the job at Boos Allen so he could commit treason, not “blow a whistle”. That he seeks protection in the “axis of evil” is relevant. The simple fact is, that even with some screwups, the Obama administration has RESTORED much of the respect around the world that “W” and Cheney destroyed.

I don’t approve of the “use” made of the law by Holder and Obama in all cases, but they didn’t WRITE the laws, Republicans did. They didn’t write the Executive Orders and “signing statements”, or even the regulations being used. And that is the problem “righties” don’t comprehend when taking offense with Obama. What his predecessor did IS THE REASON it’s “in the fan”.

As Pharaoh said, “So let it be written, so let it be done”.
