Apparently, Crystal cares for Knute, more than she (usually) lets on

I’m confused, are they together or are they not together? Either way, I hope there is more to Knute than toilets!

Anyone else notice that Knute has 3 different shirts on??

shirt has a different cartoon dope on it in each frame~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That’s happened before.

Anyone else think that Knute may be Frank’s long lost son? :p

Um. I don’t get why there’s no good answer. She’s beautiful, he can look at her. All he has to do is agree.

Crystal’s response =is= interesting, though—she sounds like a girlfriend here.

Actually, I was looking the other day at another encounter from 2010, with Knute and Crystal, at the mall… he kinda asked her out, saying: “You wanna go out sometime?”… to which she asked: “Are you asking me on a date?”… and then he asked: “Why do girls have to make it so complicated?”… her response? “Because we’re worth the effort”… when he did “resign” himself to do it, she “turned him” down… ==a few strips later, the arc continues: “Sorry I gave you a hard time…. yeah, we can go out”…. to this, Knute responded with a "Yeah, boy! Whoo-hoo! (or a loose approximation) and paraded off, exclaiming of her answer to whomever would listen.. Tiffany asked her… "what about getting the time and place together? " to which Crystal responded: “For guys, it’s all about the conquest”…. ==Seems that she’s just like a sleek sports car or touring car, with 0-60, and Knute is more like a “Chevy Nova” (not equating for ‘brains’, here…), and Crystal seems to revel in letting him ‘catch up’ to her, just long enough to make sure that he’s still interested, before “vroom vroom”…. pulling off, again… she seems to enjoy the chase, and in some ways, maybe she feels that she has to keep him at a certain distance, in order to ‘keep the flame from fizzling out’. in her estimation… that if she accepts his ‘advances’ too quickly, without much ‘effort’, that either she’d seem vulnerable (which would be the opposite of how she likes to portray herself), or perhaps afraid that the ‘romance’ would die out so quickly… ==They are indeed …. intriguing …

A guy who likes to shop with his lady in women’s clothes? I see whose in charge here.

She seems to like having him in corners… he seems “framed” by his own words, this time… and she’s not letting him off the hook, so easily….

I have to say, I am often impressed with the Crystal character……..

Maybe, on the store radio, “Photograph” by Def Leppard is playing…. ==You know, there are many “picture”/“photograph”/“model” songs out there, by modern day artists, as well as many from the past…

Yeah Crystal is drop dead gorgeous. I sense some mutual affection – and a little game-playing – however Knute doesn’t know how to handle a serve very well.

You’re a good start, Crystal, but there are others that try to look as beautiful as you, and I should capture their image to prove that you are the most beautiful creature in the world.

……what does Crystal see in Knute? Hey, this is Luann-land, where EVERY couple consists of one hottie and the other one blah or worse, lol..

I don’t think Knute considered himself to be the exclusive boyfriend of Crystal….more or less, to be just an occasional companion. The word ‘steady’ seems to be filtering through his mind at the moment. Perhaps this situation will lead to their ‘breakup’ in the near future. Hmmmm.

Actually, I like the way Crystal brought her thoughts on this subject of their relationship out into the open….quietly and affirmatively. Should be interesting to see if Knute backs away from the topic.

Personally, I think Crystal is this strips #1 hottie. Knute is a very lucky guy.

I notice Homer Simpson on the first shirt and Goofy on the second. I wonder if this is the creators subtle way of paying honage to two great comic creators: Walt Disney who is already past and Sam Simon, co-creator of “The Simpsons”, who is sadly dying of cancer and giving away his fortune to charity.

I don’t recall Crystal wearing that short of a skirt before.

Okay , then…. maybe another choice apart from the ones suggested to be playing right now (possibly ironically over the store system) could be “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode… especially because it seems that words will “only do Knute harm”….Lol!

Knute is caught in a similar lose-lose situation as the average husband who is asked by his wife, “Does this dress make me look fat?”

I think that when we see Crystal and Knute, we are also seeing Nancy and Frank at that age.

Who says they want to photograph beautiful women to the girl he likes?

Actually, fashion photography might be a good career aspiration for Knute. He’s shown interest in photography before, and he likes beautiful women. Crystal does him a disservice by not picking up on the positives here, i.e., Knute expressing interest in a reasonable career. She could offer to model for him if she’s jealous.

Such a contrast from Rosa and Gunther poring over college-bound material together in the library.

Maybe Tiff can practice modeling (tastefully) for Knute, who can practice fashion photography with Tiff as a model.

Anyone else Knute somehow looks better than usual? I can’t pin anything down, but he looks more “presentable” than usual. Perhaps he’s getting an upgrade::

I never said legitimate son… he has more than Frank’s nose, he has his entire face and body type; I think Knute’s Mom has some ’splaining to do, to his “Dad”!

Knute plays it safe. .but what is cool for today is his shirt. From Homer, to Goofy to Knute. Nice designs. And it gives another take on Knute’s mind.

Knute, you’re an idiot. Crystal is beautiful and she just left you an opening. Although, in the third panel, he appears to be (maybe) noticing how pretty she is!

The reason there is no good response is because it’s Crystal. She speaks in traps a lot. If he admits to noticing she’s beautiful she’ll nail him for being shallow, if he tries to play it cool she’ll pretend to have hurt feelings. Either way she won’t actually be to hard on him because she knows perfectly well it’s a trap. But she will like it better that he recognized the game and refused to play.

I’m glad to see that Crystal does own some summer clothes.

Knute, you’ve shoved your foot so far down your mouth, it’s going to come out on the other side of China (or whatever place is directly under Pitts)! Today’s comic does seem to show that Knute “Might” have a chance with Crystal if he can get that foot out of the caverns of his mouth…quick, find your digital camera and say I’m going to take a picture of the Most Beautiful Woman in the world, and Do it! ;)

Along with yours and Lev’s, I’d like to add: Crystal Stream…. =And there’s already a lot of Crystal Waters, so I wouldn’t want to add that…

Although Clear seems a nice choice in that it would fit her dual personality… she likes to be mysterious and not forthcoming (the interesting irony of Clear), and yet she looks for such honesty in others…..

Could also see the name “Crystal Blue”…..

Crystal Ball.goth – a person who likes to dress and act differently to the other people in society, normally in black but some like much brighter colours. They tend to be thinkers and more often than not quite creative. They have a satyrical sense of humour, and are able to laugh at both themselves and other people. They listen to and appreciate all sorts of good music. They can be gay/depressed/weird/mentally disturbed, but more often than not they are just normal people.

True… ==Though I think she could have ways of making points, even without always speaking… like letting them give themselves enough rope…kind of the same way she does with Tiff…..
