This may be my favorite BS yet. Not sure why though. Isn’t that the beauty of this comic? Or is that just me?

    A toast to morning!

    Huzzah!

I like to see a little enthusiasm greet the new day.

(Even though it’s not quite 11pm where I am right now.)

It’s morning on Ballard Street, though…. and Bob is ready… and very handy with a piece of toast.

Well, Derrick, you’ve got to be more beautiful than a Ballard Street cartoon, and that’s the comparison you asked about.

So I also vote that it’s you.

I cut some smaller pieces… It’s a big, tall cake, so it’s easy to make them huge without realising it …

Though of course… it’s not such a big cake any more. LOL

    Anybody?

I bet nobody here but StelBel realises how hard it is to cut that cake properly.

Oh…. I’m glad you weren’t near the ammonia, Red!

I wouldn’t want to be too close to a spill of even household ammonia….but it doesn’t sound like that one was a major amount.

    You’re quite welcome!

You may as well have a big piece and take home whatever you can’t eat….

I hope Brian took some home, too….Cos I have a feeling that whatever’s left after the Monkey comes in…won’t be any more.LOL

There should be plenty of blueberry AND red raspberry pie in the morning….

Also I found some olallie berries, and blackberries…The latter I didn’t make plain, but put in my tripleberry pie.

    Red and Susan,

I was another who was brought up in the era of clean-your-plate-there-are-starving-children-in-India/China/Africa. Never did figure out why forcing me to eat what I disliked would help them.

It’s a ploy that I never used on my kids. They had to try new foods, but if they didn’t like them for whatever reason – taste, texture, etc – they didn’t have to eat them. And they certainly never had to clean their plates – even of things they liked. When you’re full, you’re full and mom doesn’t know that best.

His Ninja skills are still unmatched.I just love toast. My Granddad taught me a special way to consume it.Good and toasty. Cover in good sweet butter.Make a coffee. Cream (real cream) sugar to nearly sweet.Dunk toast in coffee, consume and enjoy.Simply life of a simple country gentleman.

Oh that pie looks good ! Think I’ll head over and have a slice with a cup of Munkey’s Mud.My internet connection has been toast. And it burns me up.Speaking of toast, my mother used to do toast – burned black and scrapped to a golden brown.Seriously, I have been having sporadic problems with the connection. I am getting used to it being like a light switch but it’s frustrating – especially when you want to comment. It’s like the old dial-up. I’m getting too old and don’t have the patience to wait anymore – life is getting too short !Anyway, Happy Birthday ( belatedly ) to Bri. and I hope everyone has a great day.

Such FUN, y’all! I had quite a weekend and just now scorched my spinach because I was too involved with comments. I am fixing an eggwhite omelet with a handfull of sliced garlic cloves and I’ll have some wholewheat toast (plain) and low sod. V8 with my spice blend. My man likes his special toast (Pannatone) and I have fixed that many a morning with some steak and eggs and his juice choice. Missing him a whole lot (easy to imagine) but this diet would be difficult to share. I can do it as I have in the past. My will power is stronger than most folks (and my imagination is phenominal!)

@Red, I have also dealt with many chemicals (while working for Zenith, who were NOT always as careful as they could have been) and my lover (who has worked with industrial sized AC units most of his life) has actually seen some that used ammonia as a coolant. I have always been impressed by his range of experience. He still does not quite comprehend that he IS my total ideal man, but the lovely machined works that he created are works of art to me.

Aw, Stel… you can finish it.

Look, I fixed it up for you!

Wasn’t that nice of the Monkey to order you a pie?

He didn’t even take a BITE!

(Cos of the ten he bought for “The Tiki” …. which is what I believe he’s calling his stomach today…. )

OK…. gotta get to work….See you on the night shift!
