Well….. The grinder is clean…. the bar is slow….

I’m gonna take off…Most of the pies are going to the pie shop on my way home….The bunny ladies will be there to help you in the morning… or you can order a slice with your breakfast at the Tiki, since it’s right next door.

I’ll also bring some back to the Tiki tomorrow night for a Yak ‘n’ Dak ‘n’ Pie special….

(Apparently I can’t just leave them here.)

Fireman…. thanks for staying …little monkeys…. you know the drill.ONE drink at a time…and let the Fireman get the heavy stuff.

You’re doing great.Yes, Big Monkey and Fenton will be proud.

We forgot to thank x_Tech for filming some of you guys on your break.

Thanks, X!I’ll save you some pie.

    Good night, all…

    Note to Monkey:

There's ONE banana cream pie and ONE chocolate cream pie in the fridge with the mark of the Monkey on top. :())

You know the nice thing about the Tiki, when you’re ready for a drink all you have to do is hold up a finger and them little monkeys are all over it.And Fentons’s right there with your drink.

That drink went right to his head.

Gin’s ok, but I prefer Vodka. When I get home later this aft, I’m going to start off with a Bloody Caesar or two. Then, it’s beer for the rest of the waking eve so keep the beer fridges fully stocked.

I’ll stick to gin and prefer the bouquets of Beefeater and Seagrams (never Tangeray, Fleshmans or other tasteless types). I mostly like it just straight on the rocks but I’ll be drinking with tonic and lime (have to look for diet tonic w stevia or settle for carb. water).

I will not be forever on the wagon (just this one year because I promised). Having with tonic and lime makes it easy to have one at a party and look like you’re drinking all night. I did that at a Christmas party last year (actually more fun than drinking because everyone else is). I like that I can speak my mind as if I were drinking and no one else will remember what I said because they really ARE.

Never! Just follow the rules: The breast rule ~ One’s not enough and three are too many. Or, Dorothy Parker’s rule, drink one, two at the most. After three you are under the table and after four, under the host.

Grog,What is a Bloody Caesar? I first glossed over it then re-read it. Is it a Caesar salad with ketchup?? Is it just a bloody Caesar salad (British talk)?? Then I remember we were talking about drinks. I never heard of a drink named Caesar now MARYS I remember, somewhat remember, those times were a little hazy, and oh they are sooooo goooooood.Sounds interesting, please some enlightenment.

Dazz, Glad to see you use an elliptical. That is a very good one too. The head of our fitness group did look at those but they don’t have any scientific fitness information on them being somewhat of a new thing. The Concept Rower has been in use with the US Olympics Training in Colorado Springs starting back in 1964 which is where the head of our fitness department once worked. There it was tested using those machines to monitor O2 and CO2 output compared to rates of fitness. So there is vast data on folks that were tested on the device for physical fitness. Just like the bikes and treadmills but used this rowing device. Less impact and more generally works out the entire body. I compare it a sit up, push up, and run all in one movement. My wife likes those elliptical trainers..As you can tell I did survive our area work out. My Captain calls it “Fight Gone Bad” We troops do have to be able to hang in the fight.

I liked a creamy horseradish on a sandwich of nitrate free roast flank steak with crisp romaine and tomato. I only buy 1/4# at a time from deli to eat it while still red. No bread and no meat now (or cheese) so no sandwiches ;-( That just needs a good splash of gin to wash it down.

I’m almost done with all my routine (about to strap on the 8# ankle weights for 2 different ones and have sets of 8# and 5# dumbell stuff in between). Then I’ll attend to driving over to get the mail – if I walk it has to be in street (or up and down all the driveways) and it is at opposite corner, other end of block.

Temp feels fine here even with patio door open, but 94F outside (not walking to get the mail). and I’d not walk that far (where I might see neighbors) in this mesh swimsuit and no makeup. This is the good part about working out at home.

O.K. Ballardeers ! Ahoy ! For those of you who read Andy Capp – this is basically, the same thing. It’s Friday night and here I am tucked comfortably in my new casa – a little furnished one bedroom apartment in a new, upscale area of Machala , Equador known as Cuidadela Unioro. I moved into this wonderful, reasonably priced ’ departmendo " on Wednesday after a week of searching places in Ecuador. I am celebrating tonight with a cool rum and coke, and listening to the incomparable Latin jazz of Eddie Palmieri on my favorite Jazz station from Tampa = WUSF, while catching up on the misdoings on Ballard Street. I have seriously missed you guys !After a 2 hour struggle ( no joke ! ) the technicians were finally able to connect my router so I, at last, have my personal internet connection. Hooray !!!This means that through the magic of the internet, the OLE CAPT, HAS RETURNED TO BALLARD STREET !I have been lost without reliable service. The hotels and restaurant wi-fi’s are unreliable at best.. Although the Ecuadorans are mad for football, they aren’t big on pubs ! Can’t find a decent pint anywhere. But the local cerveza is pretty good and the food excellent ! Still, not as good as the Tiki !So set everyone up Fenton, and keep ’em coming !Looking forward to talking to all my friends at the turn… Voy a hablar con usted en la mañana !

I picked up my mail with 3 new bottles of supplements but ran into my mailman there even tho’ I drove. I don’t usually go out in public in just a swinsuit but it was hotter part of the day so . . . mail delivery is daily but otherwise there is no schedule.Oh. lets see if I can post the link to that song I recorded for him (and my voice is not Utube worthy so this is Patti)Patti Page
