PHANTOM: Apparently P. will be flying to New York, but just not on Ted West’s 707.FUNKY W: Although Frankie may be Darrin’s bio-dad, Fred Fairgood is his real dad. JUDGE PARKER: I am thinking that “Ransom” contains 3 of the letters in “scam.”
MARY WORTH: Tom looks like he’s about to cry….maybe it’s just the onions. I’m glad he and Beth like each other and there seem to be some “sparks” flying, but why is T. so needy?
Judge Parker – It may be a scam, but perhaps Ross has really been kidnapped. It’s a growth industry in some parts of the world. It seems strange that Sohie is cynical at her age, but Neddie, the older sister, could be so gullible and a poor judge of character..Mary Worth – Tom wasn’t really tying to “sample” what’s out there. He was feeling sorry for himself and falls for the first woman he meets who seems available.Funky – Who is Frankie talking to on the phone? How is this a big enough scam to involve a co-conspirator?
Funky: I agree with Florchi in that there is nothing “real” about Frankie’s being Darin’s dad. At best he’s the sperm donor, and an irresponsible one at that. I cannot figure out what he thinks he’s going to get out of this. Lisa’s life is an open book (so to speak) with no mysteries or scandals that aren’t already known, and Darin is an adult so he can’t fight for custody. I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer he gets from Darin is “Bug off, loser.”
