I suppose that a gag about compulsory seatbelt wearing and motorcyclists helmets would also work.Though, that tends towards Darwinian auto-regulation.

Dale Earnhardt’s death is often mentioned when compulsory motor racing safety is discussed

The argument is just as bogus with smoking as it would be with guns, and that’s the point of the cartoon. Suspend the liquor license if they allow people to smoke. If a person sells a gun to someone without a background check, slap them with a felony. Message delivered. Lives saved.

You can’t use cigarettes against smokers. You can use guns against criminals. And against tyrants. Seeings how neither criminals nor the State are disarming any time soon, I’ll keep my natural right to bear arms as codified by the Second Amendment.

here will always be people who won’t follow the laws of common sense so there needs to be a way to separate them from the community and possibly rehabilitate them.======We thought that exiling those types of people to a swamp on the border of Virgina and Maryland would be the answer, but somehow they took over the country from there.

No Constitutional freedom to inflict cigarette smoke on fellow citizens. My handgun kills NO ONE, your cigarette smoke affects everyone, doofus.

The US Constitution, 2nd Amendment is to protect YOU and me from the oppression of government. If the 2nd Amendment were written today: The right of the people to a well trained legal defense (access to a lawyer) shall not infringed. doofus.
