More than anything else, torture is ineffective, it does not work. Check out former FBI agent Ali Soufan.

If you’d have bothered to read the background of the events leading to the raid on Osama, one thing would have been clear to you: torturing people got Cheney nothing. The whereabouts of Bin Laden were revealed instead by the hard work of CIA analysts and investigators. And Bush had his opportunity to capture or kill Bin Laden in Tora Bora, but abandoned the effort at the last moment. Remember?

I was wrong: I figured the only book that would be in there would be Hop on Pop. Maybe they have a section on books that Dubya DIDN’T read. That would be substantial.

At least there are books there. O’s will have nothing substantial and only millions of documents containing all his lies. The items of interest? His Teleprompters with space between every four words so he can read them.

If you call a tail a leg, does a dog have five legs?

No! Calling a tail a leg does not make it a leg.

THE SIMPLE FACTS: Torture has a 1% success rate. Why ? Because the victim will say anything to stop the torture !

I’m sick and tired of “teleprompter” slurs against the president. They have been in use since the Eisenhower administration, flat on the desk in front of the speaker instead of high, right and left. I bet your minister has a notebook in front of him during his sermons. A large church here has a teleprompter up behind the balcony. So, you Obama haters need to find another snide remark to harp on.

It’s a LIE BRARY all right. Incurious George never read a book he didn’t have to.

Will this book go into the “Compassionate Conservative” wing, or the “I’m a uniter, not a divider” wing? Hard to decide….

Libraries and funding for libraries matter… GWB (and his significant ilkage) does not, anymore … thank goodness.

I remember when a reporter asked him which children’s book he liked most as a child. He named one (I wish I could recall which), and it was later revealed that the book hadn’t been published until Bush was in his 20’s.Which is obviously when he read it.When will the GOP run a “smart” candidate for president again?

Why is it that the rest of the world would lock these guys up in an instant and we just look the other way? Did we forget that Cheney shot a guy in the face?

It’s about time! I am a Democrat but getting fed up with Obama. HE was part of the cover-up! He also promised that he would not touch Social Security, something that everyone that works pays into as well as Medicare. Also Social Security isn’t adding anything to the debt. He has become just part of the machine. Another brick in the wall.

I’m wondering if there being bombs in Boston at the same time this report comes out is a coincidence. Maybe the bombs are to take attention away from the report.

Your leaden attempts at humor are an inspiration to those of us at whom you attempt to aim them. Humor can be a unifying force or a self-destructive endeavor; used well it can bring people together, but used poorly is brings scorn and contempt for those who so misuse it.You aren’t the least bit funny (at least to anyone with more than a 3rd grade education), though no doubt you amuse yourself to no end.Your self-satisfaction aside, you do yourself no favors by acting the buffoon; your credibility might increase if you took a more serious tone.

Bush looked like a pole-axed cow for 7 minutes after being told “American is under attack” (the camera stayed on him that entire time). Who cares what the Secret Service was doing? The President did nothing. Nada. Bupkiss! If this guy makes you proud, you’re too hopeless for words. As for Kerry, I’d rather have a guy who shows some honest heart-felt emotion (bad bladder or not, though I suspect that’s a lie) in a crisis than be paralyzed by his blatant stupidity.
