PHANTOM: In the news stories I have read, drug smugglers sometimes use smaller aircraft that can fly below the radar. In the past they also used old cargo planes (like DC-3s). I have never heard or read of an passenger airliner being flown empty and off-route to smuggle drugs, and I doubt the uniformed pilot or the drug cartel owns the 727.* What about GPS tracking by whoever owns the airliner?
Asterisk: I’m not sure what the type is; 727 is a guess.
Phantom – A commentor at the other site suggested that the pilot looks a lot like Walker and Walker might take his place. I’m thinking maybe he already has??Rex – Why would Rex look surprised that Heather knows and told Milton? They haven’t told anyone it’s a secret. Of course, they don’t have official news yet, unless you count Delores’s prediction. June is seeing her doctor now. Maybe we’ll have an “older mother” pregnancy story along with the heart health life style story.Judge Parker – Why does she think it’s an investment. If legitimate, it’s a non-profit charitable gift. Maybe they can sell the whole idea to Bill Gates.Mary Worth – It has appeared that Beth doesn’t have her own cell phone so Elinor can’t call her. I hope the case.
Judge Parker – I’ve got some beachfront property in El Paso she might be interested in.Mark Trail – I once made a cell phone call from the top of Capulin Volcano in New Mexico. Out in the middle of nowhere, on top of a volcano, and the signal was perfectly loud and clear.Phantom – Wouldn’t be my first pick for a line of work either.

PHANTOM: Thanks, Jan! I’m not very good at recognizing the differences in commercial aircraft. But I once got to visit McConnell-Douglas in St. Louis, and got a peek inside an F-16 flight-simulator dome.
@JanCinLV:Wow, I as wondering how you knew so much about that aircraft line. Your dad taught you well. If you look at my earler post you will see my mistakes. I had trouble with gocomics and couldn’t see what I was typing until I was done. It wouldn’t print certain letters.Phantom: If P is taking the pilot’s place, where did he learn to fly a plane of that size. I am surprised that they have a runway that long, to handle a plane that size, in the middle of the jungle.
Rex Morgan: June didn’t violate anyones Doctor/ patient relationship by telling Heather that she was pregnant.
Woodworker, the beauty of the 707 is that it (like the DC9) can use a relatively small runway. It doesn’t take the big mile-ling runways necessary for the jumbo’s.
