Proof that Schroeder does care for Lucy…but if he let her know he cared, she would hold it over him for the rest of his life.

Julie Andrews made out all right. She got Mary Poppins instead, won the oscar, and thanked the producers of MY FAIR LADY for making it possible. Hollywood was just being Hollywood, going with the bigger name for marquee value.

I love My Fair Lady! I love Audrey because of it. It was such a good movie, it beat even George Bernard Shaw’s original!

What do you have against Audrey Hepburn? Both she and her sister Katherine are great. I loved “My Fair Lady.”

A little bitter are we?While I agree with you about Andrews/Hepburn, I love the movie as a whole. Great music, and Marnie Nixon (AH’s singing voice and Sister Sophia) is a wonderful singer.

I’m a big Julie Andrews fan and I do feel she got ripped off. BUT… I like Audrey Hepburn in the role (she got ripped off, too; they dubbed her singing against her wishes), Julie Andrews got the lead in Mary Poppins, which led to her getting the lead in The Sound of Music. Things often have a way of working out for the best, even if they don’t work out the way we initially thought they should.

Schroeder, you’re too young to grow accustomed to ANY face, let alone Lucy’s! You may have grown accustomed to her face, but her personality will send you back to reality! LOL

I’d forgotten this move by Lucy’s family in the history of Peanuts. How could I? Oh, I’m old.
