It took a few seconds for that one to sink in. Burn!

That’s a pretty nasty comment, Janis. I am disappointed.

It does seem nasty, until you see the look on Janis’ face — she’s oblivious to any offense in her comment. The drawing is perfect.

Janis….you need to tell Arlo first then text the others….shame for shame..

But Janis isn’t really there either..But Arlo is trying to bring her back to the real world.

It’s too early in the morning. I feel stupid. So is she saying that what he said is exactly what she texted to her “followers”?

She’s saying that she’s already shared it with her online friends, so there’s no real need for him to be there. It was a tacky thing to say (and do).

Useless? Clueless? Old, Stale?

I’m pleased when my family relates how nice it is in Southern Nevada while I’m slipping on ice in NW Indiana.

I think she’s commenting on the fact that they’re in a comic strip. Arlo had commented on what a beautiful day it was when we, the readers, aren’t really there either.

It seemed to me that she was saying, “I don’t need you!”

I think the point that Janis is trying to make is that, a lot of times, Arlo isn’t really there, either. In that sense, he is no more present than her Facebook friends and is, therefore, redundant.

An interesting insight, Jade7. But then, for me you aren’t really there either.

Janis really doesn’t understand how wrong she is.-I think Arlo has pricked her conscience. I hear “redundant?” being said guiltily.
