when I was 14 they started charging me the adult price. always looked older when I was young so I had absolutely no interest in sneaking in to r movies, bars etc. guess you need to feel challenged to make the attempt
My daughter was into her 30s before they stopped carding her. Guess she now looks 21. :o) I am at the other end, I am 60 but look 45, so have to ask for a sr. discount. Could be worse! LOL
I always looked younger than I was and, when we were in the reception line at my brother’s wedding, mother introduced me and my husband and I got the “I hope when you grow up and get married, you’ll have as nice a wedding.” My response was “I am married and this is my husband of 3 years.” Naturally, it fell on deaf ears.
Ratings are guidelines. Nothing happens to theaters that let in “underage” patrons unless it was rated “X.” Nothing happens if the patron is under 17 and it is “NC-17.” These are guidelines, not laws.

When I was 17, I was still being offered the “under 12” price.
