This is the first strip? Good, now I can see what happened before I was born and catch up.

Uh, this WAS 1985, and CD players and IPods and other MP3 gadgets hadn’t hit the scene yet.

Would someone please tell Greg and GoComics that the word “again” is NOT spelled with a double N?

If you want to read them all without any cliffhangers, just go to the real Luann.

I’m so happy to see this! I always liked the strip but never was able to see it everyday. Thanks GoComics and Greg

Yes, a tape recorder. What are you, 10? Even so, it is sad so many young people don’t know or want to know anything about anything before they were born. We’re becoming a nation of ignoramuses.

Yep. People used to use them to take personal notes, or in this case, record a diary. Computers weren’t common 28 years ago, and doing this would be (to some people) easier than writing in a diary by hand.
