How’s it working out for me? Fairly well, and certainly better than it would have under McCain/Palin or Romney/Ryan. You can sling all of the crap you wish about our President, but he’s doing a pretty good job cleaning up after the mess your boy Bush left behind. And he’s dealing with lumps like the GOP leadership who act more like a log jam than “the loyal opposition.”I know it’s hard on the Republicans, who often whine like babies when they don’t have it all their way, but they are going to have to grow up and present some new ideas of your own rather than simply knocking down eveything the President proposes.

As written, it is a way to ensure domestic tranquility and provide for the common defense without recourse to a large standing army, mercenaries, or conscription. Instead, we have the first two totally and the third on paper and recent past. Thus an imperial Pentagon “Defense Department” and permanent war instead of the original “War Department” and relative peace.
