A friend of mine years ago liked to ‘spin’ the family cat by laying it on its side on the kitchen floor and putting his fingers behind its neck (I do NOT advocate this kind of treatment!!) Poor cat couldn’t walk straight for five minutes…….
Cats are funnier than dogs. Both do “stupid” things but react differently. When a dog does something stupid, he just gets up and continues on to enjoy himself. He has no ego to maintain. When a cat does something stupid, he tries to salvage his dignity by acting like that either didn’t happen or he had planned it all along. No matter what happens, a cat must maintain his cool at all times.

Hobo & Cheese don’t look too rattled; with all Doug’s exertions they sorta landed on their feet. Love those skinny arms.

I love the cats….and the freedom for the artist/writer to do anything he wants to do in his strip.
