Bernie: Let's put it this way, Phil... When you have something that works, don't you stick with it? Phil: Sure, but you need to be open to new things. Bernie: But if the new thing doesn't work, isn't going back to what worked before the obvious and intelligent thing to do? Phil: Oh, it's not that simple, Bernie. Bernie: Uh... why would it be any more complicated than that? Phil: Because that would mean the people in congress have to act like responsible adults, where one side admits they were wrong. Do you think that'll ever happen? Bernie: Well, I suppose that's true... Phil: Yes, sadly so. Bernie: ...but I was talking about laxatives. Phil: Oh. Then you can understand my confusion. Ah, politics…just like laxatives.

If you find a medication for an unpleasant condition that has minimal side effects, it’s best not to continue experimenting.

Politicians definitely need a good laxative. Just sayin’ ….

What most politicians need is a short length of rope and a long drop. It’s a recyclable process too…

But…. In this case one would use purgatives

What would you call it when one side gets elected, and instead of obeying the Oath of Office, it obeys an oath it took to some other person, and does his business instead of the peoples. It used to be called treason.

That’s exactly what Congress needs. An enema. Clean out all the BS. Enough to fertilize every farm in Idaho.

Once a group has an agenda, it doesn’t have to make sense and it doesn’t have to work. But the expectation in the political and media arenas is that the rest of us must accept it. Yeah, they’re “full of it” alright.

So this is why I hear a flushing sound every time they spend money?
californicated1 about 11 years ago
Unfortunately, laxatives will not work for the kind of constipation apparently running through Congress these days along with the rest of the Yankee government.…Not sure what will work for the diarrheal symptoms that Congress also experiences at the same time they are experiencing that constipation, either.

No wonder politics give make me queasy. Forget that awful crap they tell you to drink before a colonoscopy; watch Congress for a few minutes and you’ll be clean as a whistle inside and out.

Actually what is running through congress may be defined as and oral version of Montezuma’s revenge… (Pun intended)

Politics is like a septic tank – the big chinks always rise to the top.
