Sure… you could Goggle the answer… but you still need to be aware of what the correct answer should be….. and ………… no electronic devices except the basic calculator during exams..a lot more schools are heading towards iPads in class (and e-readers). The best thing about such is being able to carry your entire semester’s worth of text books on one small tablet.No more broken backs. And apparently cheaper because you can get updates!

Nope, still got to buy all of your own supplies in college.
Unless you mean K-12, then they probably would. But, I haven’t heard of anyplace actually doing that. It is expensive and kids can ruin an I-pad pretty quickly, or their parents can borrow it and never give it back.

Our school system went digital this year. iPads for elementary students and laptops for high school. Every classroom has a digital blackboard. The equipment is supplied by the school with the parents paying a small fee for insurance to cover damage and loss. This fee is waived for those who can’t afford it. Strong controls are in place on the tablets and laptops. The equipment belongs to the school system just as the books did. Our school system went from a large deficit to a surplus in one year. The students all have current, up to date texts and no back problems from heavy backpacks. This has already proven to be the ideal choice.
iPads and laptops are tools just as books are. It still takes good, dedicated teachers to make education work.
