Just for that Jeff, sit on her lap.

Must be the 50s. Looks like she is wearing a “sack” dress and a “pillbox” hat. Also, of course, using her feminine wiles to grab a seat on a crowded subway car!

Well I still give up a seat for a lady or hold a door open and I always will. Most ladies say thanks, a few throw it back in your face but mostly I just get trampled in the stampede through the door.

It’s possible that she didn’t notice her hankie falling and thought Jeff was offering her his seat! Our etiquette teacher taught us never to pick up a lady’s handkerchief but to point it out to her on the ground; ladies wouldn’t like you touching such personal objects but, of course, Jeff is wearing gloves…

That ploy wouldn’t work today. Chivalry is dead.

Good work Jeff. A long time ago I gave up my seat to a lady on the bus I was riding.

Jeff is a gentleman, but she sure ain’t no lady.

Manners…. miss them.
