Our local transit authority is putting too much faith in rail.

@barticle35Thank God Allen gave up on building an airplane

I thought it was a motorized hand glider that he’d planned to launch himself with, off of the tower at Ballard Street City Hall and Political Rehabilitation Center !

Stop thinking of them as rails, Allen and think of them as “guide lines”.

I’ve been having a problem with the site too….

Ballard Street and a couple of other strips wouldn’t open at all…. just blank windows or tabs.Just got in here on about my 10th try, with breaks in between to visit other comics.

Linguist… I found you some blue corn.

Nice of you to want it….maybe having a home will cheer it up.

There were some blue corn tortilla chips there as well….are you willing to take them too?

Apparently, Lois has noticed that their neighbor, Chuck, has given up on rails…and has found that the way to go is…..HOVERING!!The question remains: Will Home Depot take back all the material used to build the rail system?

Looks like Allen’s plans have derailed…

Another thing Disney had unique that he hung on the wall behind him when he hosted his old shows. His Dishonorable Discharge from the Army. He was drummed out for not fitting in as a soldier. He was considered too much of a dreamer. (They are a bit more considerate in todays Military. He would have been released as unable to adapt. General Discharge. Some just don’t adapt. After he became famous the Military tried for years to get it back from him. He refused every time. Never held anger just wanted to show them.)

Allen needs training wheels.SusanS, like the deal I’ve been having for a while where the isn’t completely blank, but nothing much loads except the green bar and blue line at the top of the page? It looks to me (from reading the loading status of my Opera browser at the bottom of the page) like it’s waiting for an ad company to respond. Yes, even though we don’t see the ads, they still do stuff with the ad people on Pro accounts. At least a simple reload produces results pretty much every time.

Lotta of people on that train. You should see how many they can cram on a bus.

On the moose hunters. When I was station in Alaska the local bar I hung out at had a big moose head hanging on the wall near the pool table. I would sit next to it. After a few I would ask the fellow about what shot to take next on the table. I would ask the question out loud and listen intently. I would then go and make the shot. If I missed I would blame it on the moose. It unnerved so many I played with they would make mistakes and I would win the table. I believed in Harvey the Rabbit.

I rode one rather like that last one, in Guatemala, long ago.

First they tied our luggage (which in my case was a duffel bag) on top of the bus…which turned out to be so they could cram more people inside. They put a piece of plywood across the narrow aisle between the two back seats, seat 2 or 3 in each 2-person seat, and another on the plywood in between.

Then they’d do the same with the next seat forward… and the next and the next, till the whole bus was packed.

No getting up or out for any reason… money and tickets passed forward and back from hand to hand.

We’d stop every few hours in some dusty village where there was a shack with a toilet… They’d disassemble the seating from front to back, let us out, and a few passengers off, and re-load us 20 minutes later with a few new ones…

It was at the first such stop that I discovered just how many people had been sitting on our luggage on the roof.

LLarry — I’ve had that problem too…but this time, NOTHING showed of the page…not even the URL.

The page was empty, the address bar said “Go to a website” and the top of the tab was blank.

If it happens again I’ll try another browser to see whether it’s some problem between GoComics and Firefox…

Then again, I usually have the least problems with Firefox, and other web pages were fine.
