That is exactly where we are heading with government spending. And no, you can’t blame it all on either party. If the repubs actually refuse to raise the debt limit, I might respect them.

What we see is the distant effects of that happening. So the density (mass/volume) is approaching infinity, where the math breaks down; that’s why we wave hands at it, and call it a singularity. If we can ever figure out a way to cheat and look inside (since by definition, even light can’t escape), we might call it something else…
