Billionaires also funded the Obama campaign. The entertainment and legal industries will soon be rewarded by the President.

Ooh! He said “Thugs”! Now I’m scared! Get a clue — the American electorate has little use for the European-style austerity and anti-poor thuggery being peddled by the right. No union “thug” every threatened my well-being by trying to keep up standards of living wages in this country, but Paul Ryan is still planning some serious damage to any hope I have of retiring some day.

Isn’t it interesting (or sad) that most of those on the right calling themselves “Christians” ignore Jesus’ true message? 1) it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. 2) the parable of the widow’s mite (and I don’t mean spiders, look it up!) 3) Go, sell all you have and give to the poor, then come follow me. I am the first to admit I do not always follow these teachings, but I try not to go around lording my good fortune over others, and try to help where I can.

Well, I’m not a communist, though I’ve known many in my time, good friends and colleagues, but I do place myself on the left of the left, inasmuch as I’m a crazy pacifist anarchist atheist eco-socialist. Will that do? Any questions?

And therefore I will not be snarky in return. Have you actually compared the few posts of liberals on these boards to the deluges of conservative and even ultra conservative posts here?

I would be just as against truly nasty liberal posts as I am against conservative ones, but I have yet to see anywhere near as many such posts here (if any). And if you have, then I apologize for such to you and other more thinking conservatives.

Have you seen ANY of the posts of such a Ima, and HOWGOZIT, or ConserveGov EVER say anything in any way complimentary towards our currently elected president?

Back in the days of President GW Bush I also disagreed with many of his positions, but I never would have taken the extremely bitter positions that I see some of the more extremely conservative types taking on these comment boards against our then President. In fact, I agreed that he did also do some truly good things, such as setting a better goal for NASA (of which I am a very big supporter). And I was happy to give him credit for such good things.

Heck, if President Obama were to come out for such traditional American values as Mom and Apple Pie, then some of these people would state that Moms are somehow un constitutional, and Apple Pie is a Communist Plot to destroy the USA! I know that is somewhat extreme, but no more so than some of the bitter posts I have seen on here.

Also, one of the reasons I have not seen such nastiness by liberals is that liberalism itself has been called both softhearted and even softheaded by the more conservative elements. So by the very nature of liberalism, it is far less combative than conservatism. So I guess you could call me somewhat liberal, as I believe far more in cooperation than the more individual confrontationist conservatism.

I encourage your efforts to engage in reasonable debate in these areas. Join such posters as myself and C Downs in so debating. Heck, I would even invite the more conservative and ultra conservative on here to increase their own credibility by taking a more balanced approach to both government itself and the current administration also. They can and should indeed disagree with those particular issues that they disagree with (as did I during the previous administration, and even will do during this one when I find it to be truly and factually lacking). But please get over this “The Federal Government is out to get me!” attitude, with the corollary that “President Obama is out to get me!”

    It does not help!

    Have A Truly Great Day!

“‘intelligentuspolitics.com’That’s one I hadn’t heard of. but great “unbiased” source …I’ll have to add it to my list with American Thinker, WND, et. al.”If you honestly think that is unbiased, you must not know what the word means.

Runar: I am not a student of Aramaic, but appreciate clarification on the issue. I believe much has gotten lost/misinterpreted over the ages, and really do not like most of the “modern translations” I have read. Joke or not, it still makes the point!
