I get the elephant, i get the donkey, i get Uncle Sam, but who is the third guy from the left and what is the meaning of the whole cartoon? That the establishment will survive by throwing the citizens under the bus? What else is new?
I guess it means that "Con"gress and the President are in no hurry to solve the whole mess. No rush= Mt. Rushless. Although, I WAS hoping it meant that Rush had made good on his promise to leave the country if Obama won again!
The sign should read, Mt. Ruthless. This insane legislative cannibalism is causing real harm. Families are afraid to spend money which keeps states and localities from getting new income. Corporations are afraid to spend money because they don’t know what the rules will be. And the D & R legislature ruthlessly turns away from people in need in order to cater to the desires of donors and to nurse their hurt feelings from past dealings. This can be fixed. But it takes politicians who will put honor before ego, and those kind of politicians are in very short supply. Sadly, C.
“…who is the third [man]…?” . The Third Man turns out to be Limes who was supposed to be dead! On Wiki… . Since Limes was played by Orson Welles, who we all know went from being a big star who worked hard (like a donkey!) to being a BIG (like an elephant) used to be star! And so that is why Uncle Sam is falling off the side of Mt Rushless. . That’s what I get out of it anyway!
