I once had an African Grey parrot who could imitate the voices of my wife and myself calling the cats and dogs. He also could imitate the sound of the electric can opener. He would drive the dogs crazy by either calling them or scolding them and the cats by making the can opener sound and then going: " Here kitty,kitty,kitty…" He fooled them every time.
African Grey’s are so perfect in their mimicry. our friend’s Grey could do almost any household sound perfectly, in addition to their voices. I wanted one, but… I have dogs instead.
had an acquaintance that thought his bird was cool: until he had family visit for a couple weeks, and kept the bird in the bathroom…then back to the living room. nothing like toilet and intestinal sound-effects to take the edge off of Maury… ;D
