Not even bad, ridiculous books should be banned.

Read a review calling 50 Shades a poor Twilight script. So is that d—-ning with faint praise?

On a serious note, banned is banned what ever the book, Everyone has the right, and should have the opportunity, to see it if they wish, and to think “My God! I wish they’d banned this book!”

50 Shades wants to be banned. It’s a naughty book and needs to be punished.

Actually it’s a sh** book and deserves to be buried. Don’t ban it. Just let it die, already.

    Please. PLEASE let it die.

(Confession: As someone who writes and who is friends with many writers, it seriously bugs my happiness that something as appallingly badly written as this has not only been published, but rocketed to success. It is one of the things which convinces me that the human species is just basically too stupid to live.)

So if they celebrate the 30th every year, how long have they had this annual tradition.

On another note, this is the first day of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What makes a banned book banned? Who bans it? The federal government? Or some librarian with limited funds who doesn’t wnt to waste funds on things she doesn’t like? A group of people who get together and say, “Don’t teach this at our school”? Obama? Romney? Are there, ahem, shades of banning?

I don’t consider a book banned until I can go to jail for reading it or giving/selling it to another adult. Are there such books in the US?

Across the US, people are standing up for the right to read whatever they choose! It’s the American Banned Stand! =rimshot=

Not all books on the list have been technically “banned.” Some have been questioned by parents who were concerned about subject matter and the age of their child.

“50 Shades” was pulled from the public libraries of Brevard County, FL. After much talk of ‘censorship’, they have been returned to the lending shelves.
