   Poetry can be really tough stuff to understand. The 9th Century BC poem by Solomon was very difficult to novelize.
   .
   The novel ended up going through the Scripture line by line for Song of Solomon, with one exception: every part of the poem assumes that Solomon and his not named wife are married, which took place in 3:11. And so that had to be at the start. (I could have made it a flashback, but that didn’t seem right.)
