Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Oh how I love the irony of this.
We’ve only just managed to rid this forum of religious debate when out of the annuls of history, Bill pops up with a question of his own.
Touche Mr Watterson, Touche.

No, Mr. Watterson didn’t believe it when God showed himself 2000 years ago and he wants a personal appearance. Sigh …

Actually, it wasn’t even much of a religious holiday in America until the 19th century. Christians stole most of it from the cult of Mithras, which originated in Persia but had a following in Rome.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

“To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other: ” ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not cry.’ Luke 7:31-32

Oooh, and for those of you demanding a personal appearance, you will have one, just not on your own terms.
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

It is quite inane to quote the sayings of a nonexistant entity.
