Donald Trump: The campaign has got me thinking about religion! For the first time. We're doing it wrong. We could make religion a lot more successful. I do think about worship a lot. And then I see there's that tax-exemption thing. We can relocate the wall between church and state to the Mexican border. We can have the best religion! The very best.
If there were no belief in a god and a hereafter, they would have to be invented by the wealthy and powerful to avoid having to share their wealth and power with the populace. Promises of great joy in the hereafter would be orchestrated to justify the inequities in the here and now.
