The Democrats are naturally disorganized… The Republicans are usually wrong, but boy are they cohesive. I’ve always thought that the Democrats need a 65 seat majority to ram anything through while the Republicans need a 55 seat majority for the same.

The Republicans with their minority re-defined voting in Congress. Now, by virtue of their immoral but impressive cohesion, a supermajority is required for anything that a Democrat proposes.

    Agreed, Tom.

Come November Congress will merely be more grid-locked than it is now.

Hey, lets do what Tigger says and fire all 471 incompetant members of congress…wait a minute, if all Democrats are evil and all Republicans are stupid, who do we elect? I know Libertarians, no wait. to divisive, Enviromentalists, no wait, to self-centered, who does that leave? I know, in the immortal words of the old Richard Pryor movie, “ELECT NO ONE!”

I used to think it was useless to vote, but then Daniel Ellsberg, believe it or not, convinced me that there are differences between the two parties. Hold your nose if you have to, but vote for Democrats (most of the time).

^ Could have gone to clear brush, I guess. Lots and lots of brush.

^^ Bob McDonnell has taught me, no matter what, just vote against the Republican. Doesn’t matter who it is, D, or I, just no R’s. Can’t rely on D’s to get anything done, but no progress is better than a regress.

Hmm, caring about posterity and the survival of a world we’ve been beating up, but can save for future generations- sidi says “environmentalists” are too self-centered???

Stupid really is contagious among the right, and libertarians that want no restrictions (government) on their “toys”.

    “ELECT NO ONE!”

That means the rest of us will have to do what 20-30% of the populus wants.

    Which are usually right wingers.

Tigger, I don’t know how you can say that when the Senate blocks everything that comes through the House with one Republican objection amounting to a filibuster.
